Acceptable Use Policy
BLOCO's Acceptable Use Policy - what you may and may not do when using the BLOCO Platform.
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all users of the BLOCO Platform, with particular application to Organisers. Breach of this Policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do when using the BLOCO Platform. It applies to all users including Customers and Organisers. It forms part of and should be read alongside the relevant Terms of Service.
2. Permitted Use
You may use the BLOCO Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, Organisers may use the Platform to:
- Create and manage legitimate event listings;
- Sell tickets to genuine events they have the authority to promote;
- Access and use Customer data for event administration purposes only;
- Manage their account, Payouts, and event analytics via the admin dashboard.
3. Prohibited Use
You must not use the BLOCO Platform to:
3.1 Fraudulent or Illegal Activity
- List, promote, or sell tickets for events that do not exist or that you have no authority to promote;
- Misrepresent the nature, lineup, date, venue, or capacity of any event;
- Engage in any form of ticket fraud, scalping, or unauthorised resale;
- Conduct money laundering, terrorist financing, or any other financial crime;
- Carry out any activity that is unlawful in any jurisdiction in which you or your customers are located.
3.2 Platform Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, its systems, or other users' accounts;
- Upload, transmit, or distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful code;
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform without authorisation;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform;
- Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Platform;
- Overload or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure.
3.3 Harmful Content
- Post or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, harassing, or threatening;
- List events that promote violence, hatred, illegal activity, or discrimination on the basis of protected characteristics;
- Use the Platform to contact or market to Customers for any purpose other than the event for which their data was collected;
- Post false or misleading information about events, venues, artists, or performers.
3.4 Commercial Misuse
- Sell or transfer your BLOCO account or access to any third party;
- Use BLOCO's branding, trademarks, or intellectual property without written consent;
- Compete with BLOCO using data, technology, or resources obtained through the Platform.
4. Organiser-Specific Obligations
Organisers additionally agree to:
- Hold all necessary licences and permits for their events (music, alcohol, premises, etc.);
- Ensure events comply with venue capacity limits and applicable safety regulations;
- Not oversell tickets beyond the legal or safe capacity of the venue;
- Promptly notify BLOCO and affected Customers of any event cancellation or material change;
- Not use Customer data obtained via BLOCO for any marketing or commercial purpose unrelated to the ticketed event.
5. Reporting Abuse
If you believe another user is breaching this Policy, please report it to us at support@bloco.co.uk. We will investigate and take appropriate action.
6. Consequences of Breach
Breach of this Policy may result in:
- Immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account;
- Withholding of Payouts pending investigation;
- Recovery of losses, chargeback amounts, and costs from the Organiser;
- Reporting of fraudulent or unlawful activity to relevant authorities;
- Legal action to recover losses or enforce BLOCO's rights.
BLOCO reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion whether a breach has occurred and to take any action it deems appropriate.
7. Updates
BLOCO may update this Policy at any time. Continued use of the Platform following any update constitutes acceptance.
