Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes - safely through the BLOCO platform, which invalidates your old QR code and issues a new one to the recipient.
Yes - but only safely through the BLOCO platform. Here's how it works and why it matters.
How to transfer a ticket
- 1Log in to your BLOCO account at bloco.co.uk or open the BLOCO app.
- 2Go to My Tickets and find the booking you want to transfer from.
- 3Select the specific ticket you want to transfer.
- 4Tap Transfer Ticket and enter the email address of the person you want to transfer to.
- 5They must have a registered BLOCO account. Once you confirm, the ticket moves to their account instantly.
- 6You'll receive a confirmation and the ticket will no longer appear in your account.
The person you're transferring to needs a BLOCO account. If they don't have one, they can create one for free at bloco.co.uk in under two minutes.
Why transfers must go through BLOCO
Every ticket on BLOCO has a unique QR code. When you transfer through the platform, the original QR code is invalidated and a new one is issued to the recipient. This means:
- The transfer is secure - only the new holder has a valid ticket
- The organiser's door system will only accept the latest valid QR code
- There's a clean record of who holds the ticket
Sending a screenshot of your QR code to someone is not a safe transfer. If both of you try to use the same QR code, only the first scan will work. The other person will be refused entry. Always use the in-platform transfer.
Can I always transfer my ticket?
Not always - it depends on the organiser's settings. Some organisers disable transfers for their events, particularly those that require ID matching at the door. If the transfer option isn't showing in your account for a particular ticket, it means the organiser hasn't enabled it for that event. If you need to transfer but can't, contact the organiser directly - their details are on the event page.
Is there a deadline for transfers?
Transfers are usually available up until the event starts. Once the event has begun and check-in is underway, transfers may be locked to prevent misuse.
