How long does a refund take to appear?
Once approved, BLOCO processes within 30 days; card refunds then take 5-10 business days to show.
Once a refund is on its way, here's how long it typically takes to land back in your account.
The two stages of a refund
There are two steps to a refund - and each has its own timeline.
Stage 1 - The organiser approves the refund: the organiser decides whether to approve your refund request based on their refund policy. This can take anywhere from a few hours to several days depending on the organiser. BLOCO has no control over how quickly an organiser responds to a refund request.
Stage 2 - BLOCO processes it: once the organiser approves and notifies BLOCO, we process the refund within 30 days. In practice, most refunds are processed much faster than this - but 30 days is the maximum window we operate within.
How long does it take to appear in my bank?
Once BLOCO has processed the refund, the money goes back to the payment method you used. Card refunds typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank. Some banks are faster than others.
If the refund timeline has passed and nothing has appeared, check your bank statement carefully - refunds sometimes appear under the name BLOCO or Stripe rather than the event name.
What about the booking fee?
The booking fee is non-refundable in all circumstances. Only the ticket face value is returned. This is clearly shown at checkout when you book and is covered in our Customer Terms.
Still waiting after 30 days?
If it's been more than 30 days since the organiser confirmed your refund and you still haven't received it, raise a concern through your BLOCO account. Include your booking reference, the event name, and when you were told the refund was approved, and we'll look into it straight away.
